Ariel, Bacchus, Caliban is a role playing conjuration game for two or more players.

Begin by taking turns saying one letter at a time, to eventually spell out a word, without being the one who finishes the word.

When it’s your turn, say a letter that could form part of a real word. You should always have a word in mind that the current letters could lead to.

If someone thinks you’re bluffing and don’t actually have a word in mind, they can challenge you. At that point, you have to tell them the word you were thinking of. If you can’t come up with a valid word, you lose the round. But if your word is valid, the challenger loses instead. Words have to be at least three letters long.

If you succeed at finishing a word, you conjure the spirit that corresponds to the last letter of the full word. The spirit inhabits the player that said the last letter, and the other/s may ask them anything, about anything.

The possessed player answers as if they were that spirit, or as if they are in contact with that spirit. You may also choose to speculate freely together about what you think the spirit would do or answer in any given situation.
